Continuous Document Browsing and Web Document Tuneups

Atlas 1.5.1 is a brief update to bring the highly requested continuous document view mode, improvements to web documents, and various other refinements that were able to fit in!

Continuous Documents

  • Added continuous mode support for browsing multiple documents back-to-back in the Organizer (iOS + macOS)
  • On macOS: continuous mode starts automatically when selecting multiple documents in the Organizer
  • On iOS: Added continuous mode through both Edit menu, available by holding the icon on iPad or tapping the continuous icon after selecting items in Edit mode.
  • On iOS (iPad): Added two-finger drag selection to quickly add documents to continuous mode.

Web Documents and Web Canvas Cards

  • Added location memory for Web Documents and Web Canvas Cards between loads within a session so they keep their places when browsing (iOS + macOS)
  • Added Pin to Location and Snapback to Web URL options for Web Documents and Web Canvas Cards (iOS + macOS)
  • Added in-app Web Document modal window, accessible from the Canvas Web Card (iOS + macOS)
  • Redesigned the Web Document editor for Liquid Glass and adding new options (iOS + macOS)
  • Added option to change and copy Web Document URLs (iOS + macOS)

Tagging Improvements

  • Improved package export/import to support tag colors and icons (iOS + macOS)
  • Added search to the Add Tag window and Tag Editor (iOS)
  • Added auto-select for newly created tags when adding tags to a document (iOS)

Canvas Improvements

  • Reorganized Canvas menu elements for clarity (iOS + macOS)
  • Improved Spotlight descriptions for Canvas items (iOS + macOS)

Honorable Mentions

  • Added multi-document inspector for continuous mode and multi-item selection in Folder Outline (iOS)
  • Added in-app browser option for links (iOS)
  • Fixed sync stall after initial setup that persisted until the next app launch (iOS + macOS)
  • Rebuilt the HTML to Markdown converter to fix escaping issues, including stray backslashes, and other Atlas editor specifics (iOS + macOS)
