Keyboard Shortcuts Reference

Atlas provides a full keyboard shortcut system on Mac and iPad with an external keyboard. Shortcuts are organized by context — markup shortcuts work in the text editor, canvas shortcuts work on the canvas, and file and navigation shortcuts work everywhere.

On iPad, these shortcuts require an external keyboard. The same actions are available through the system menu bar and on-screen controls.

Markup

These shortcuts are available when editing a text document, canvas text block, or template.

Tables

These shortcuts are available when focus is inside a table cell.

Pressing Tab or Enter in the last cell of the last row appends a new row.

File and Editor

Move to Trash is Cmd+Backspace. While a text field or the editor has focus, the shortcut keeps its normal text meaning and deletes to the start of the line, so click the Organizer first.

Info

Save Version in the continuous multi-document editor saves a version of every open document with unsaved changes, not just the one you're focused on.

Canvas

These shortcuts are available when working on a canvas.

Cancel a drag, resize, or connection Esc

Hold Cmd while dragging, resizing, or nudging to reverse your Snap to Grid setting for that action.

Align, Arrange, and Distribute

These commands are also in the Editor menu under Canvas > Align. Each shortcut combines Ctrl+Option+Cmd with a letter.
